Dr. Yukako Akera obtained a B.A. with a major in Genetics and a B.S. in Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Akera received her O.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry in 1991.

Dr. Akera has been in private practice and has extensive experience with prescription eyewear and contact lens fitting along with Primary Care Optometry.
